At Segezha pulp and paper mill Segezha Group (enters in AFK “System”) in the Republic of Karelia completed six-month pilot project testing a mobile app Smart Timber. It is designed for calculation of coefficient of polnotsvetnoy (COP) and dense timber enterprises. This development

future employees in accordance with the special rules will only capture the objects, and the definition of all measured values will take over the program.
Given these factors, the results of testing the accuracy of the determination of efficiency was 98.3%, and a dense volume of roundwood as 94.5%. The results of the pilot project demonstrated the applicability
used approach to the measurement of volume of round forest and the feasibility of transition to the industrial solution.
A mobile app can replace the usual range, roulette, tables, and written reports. The neural network independently makes the necessary calculations and provides information about the height
width, length, volume and efficiency of the stack. Pictures of wood, state number of trucks, geolocation, date and time of the photograph – all data is collected in a single repository with access 24/7.
The app increases the accuracy of measurements of the volume of timber delivered and minimizes the influence of human factor on the process of expert assessment. After some refinement of algorithms to improve
measurement accuracy of the Smart Timber can be used for inventory in warehouses.
In the case of a decision on introduction in Segezha Group it will be integrated with digital dispatch logging systems (ASD) “Seriales”. It provides
online monitoring and control of the entire chain of movement of the wood, fuel and lubricants, and also helps to eliminate non-production losses.
