Fans of games like Mount & Blade or War of the Roses will be able to enjoy Tales of Glory in a few days, a similar experience designed for virtual reality.
Blacktale Games has already got the green light on Steam to publish Tales of Glory, which will be released on May 31 exclusively on Steam and compatible with Oculus Touch and HTC Vive. In principle the game will not reach Oculus Home, and one of the reasons could be the system requirements, since we will need 16 GB of RAM to be able to enjoy Tales of Glory on our PC. In the game we will have the opportunity to enjoy an intense medieval combat, both on foot and on horseback, with hundreds of NPCs that will add a great dose of intensity to the battle.
Tales of Glory will allow us, in addition to fighting in first person, to give orders to our troops so that they follow us, attack our enemies or protect us from those who try to approach us. The game’s physics-based damage system allows for spectacular dismemberment, and will take into account the force with which we move the movement controllers in our viewfinder when dealing damage to the enemy.
We will have more than 20 weapons of all kinds, both melee (axes, swords, mallets) and distance (bows, javelins). There will be a total of 13 different environments in which we can fight, which gives a certain variety to the fights and allows us to develop different tactics to take advantage of the peculiarities of the terrain.
What the game will not initially include is a multiplayer mode, but Blacktale Games claim that if the community demands it, they will get to work on it. As for the control system, the authors say that if we feel comfortable with the Onward method, we will find ourselves like a fish in the water playing Tales of Glory. On May 31st we will be out of doubt.
