Papers, Please is one of those games that everyone should play in their life. The 2013 title, developed by independent creative Lucas Pope, has won numerous awards over the years, and now mobile users will finally be able to enjoy it (or rather suffer from it).
A few weeks ago, Lucas Pope confirmed on Twitter that Papers, Please would arrive on iOS and Android this August 5th. And like a good man, Pope delivered and the game is now available on the iOS App Store and the Android Google Play. Previously, it was already available on computer and iPad, so the interface had to be slightly reworked to adapt to the aspect ratio of the new screens.

Papers, Please is an immigration control simulation game. Your job will be to check the documents of anyone who wants to cross, to ensure that they comply with government requirements. And although this premise may seem a little bland, the truth is that the title includes narrative and psychological elements in a timely manner, which are combined with a very complex gameplay to always keep you on the edge of your seat. You should not only do your job well, but ask yourself if you really want to do it well.
This is the official description of Papers, Please:
“The communist state of Arstotzka has concluded a 6-year war against neighboring Kolechia and has claimed the half belonging to it from the border town Grestin. Your job as an immigration inspector is to control the human flow entering the arstotzko side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the tide of immigrants and visitors looking for work, counterfeiters, spies and terrorists are hiding. Using only the documents given to you by travelers and the primitive inspection, registration and fingerprint identification systems of the Ministry of Admissions, you will have to decide who enters Arstotzka and who should be refused or arrested.”
Papers, Please is priced at $4.99 USD, or $99 MXN on Android and $129 MXN on iOS (if you already had it for iPad, it will be free). If you are interested, you can download it here:
