Changes within the company
We asked participants in our survey to tell us how the staff of the company in the current environment, how heavily loaded the staff and is there a deficit or surplus of specialists?
Alexey MELNIKOV (“marvel-Distribution”):”We do not change state – we are changing the processes that focus on the automation of certain operations that were previously performed or could perform these people. But the experience of our professionals is priceless, so we will look for a new use. Now we have carried out the project “hands-Free”, in which busy colleagues whose load is temporarily decreased: accountants, financiers, lawyers, logisticians help other services in solving more relevant problems.”
The CEO of the company “marvel-Distribution” Alexey MELNIKOV said that at present, system administrators, programmers, marketing and commercial departments busy
more than the former, especially the leadership of these departments. On the one hand, reduced the number of contacts, and with another – has increased the number of operations per unit time. “It seems to be a pause for
taking a break, but at the same time there was time to do what was important, but not urgent, such as quality improvement of business processes,” concludes Mr. Miller.
Natalia SOBOLEVA (OCS Distribution):”We in OCS has experienced so many crises that this time he was ready as ever, starting to go to udalenku just before the country was quarantined, so he did not lose a single working day. And because it’s a familiar format, and effectiveness is not yet lost. Well, as a natural result, today we have not cut a single person”.
Vice-President at OCS Distribution Natalia SOBOLEVA noted that at this point in the OCS did not stop any important project and the company even has job Postings. “We do not consider it necessary
hinder the development, “she says,” and the principle “be able to distinguish expenses from investments” we do the gold standard”. And especially important, in her view, the load monitoring staff: top management
weekly tells what’s going on in individual units, with the result that it is easy to understand the importance of diversification. Trends on the market today in different ways – something falls, something
is growing for good results is necessary to properly balance.
As for back-office structures, Ms. Soboleva noted that some employees due to the nature of what they do has decreased a bit download. “In General, colleagues, on the contrary,
complain that life on remote turned into one endless work day,” she says.
Alexander EGOROV (Reksoft):”we are in active recruitment of project managers, business analysts, developers, DevOps engineers, UX designers. For a number of clients (retail, public sector, Finance) the volume of business grows, start new projects.”
General Director of Reksoft Alexander EGOROV said that his company sees the current situation as a unique window of opportunity, especially in the context of providing advice in
digital platforms and solutions.
Alexander SEMENOV (“KORUS Consulting”):”What will be the volume of new projects is open to question. We sign new agreements remain in close contact with our customers and try to help their business, but understand, that the main impact of the crisis is still ahead.”
Chairman of the Board of Directors of “KORUS Consulting” Alexander SEMENOV has noted the importance of not only developers but also project managers and consultants who understand
information system. “Now these and other production staff are fully loaded with projects — in addition, recruited 10 new employees, although earlier it was planned to stop hiring. But it
work under the contracts that were signed earlier,” – concludes g-n Semenov.
Sergei SOLOVYOV (“the company”):”the Direct impact of the pandemic on engineering staff, we do not observe, as formed in accordance with the principles of market demand, gaining those professionals that can be downloaded”.
Commercial Director of the group “Technoserv” Sergei SOLOVYOV says that the changes are more dependent on the General evolution of the IT market. Reduced number of specialists in infrastructure
network and computing projects, however, require more experts for complex IT tasks – create automated systems, closely linking digital and real world customers.
How to survive?
Many companies today are trying to find universal recommendations, which will allow you to survive in the coming years. Well, if you can rely on help from the state, – and what to do
those who do not fall in any lists, and completely left to itself?
Valentin MAKAROV (RUSSOFT):”a Big difference in the situation of those who got into the list of backbone in it, and those who did not get into it, – not see.”
President of NP “RUSSOFT” Valentin MAKAROV says that support for systemically important not so much, or rather, while only one – concessional lending. At the same time the debt load
IT companies are very low, at the level of 3-6%, and, given the workload monitoring and reporting that will hang on these companies, their benefits will be minimized. “So while we can say that
after assignment of status of enterprises of continuous production, the IT industry has not received state support”, – considers g-n Makarov.
Dmitry KOMISSAROV (“New Cloud”):”the Most effective will appeal not on behalf of one company, but on behalf of professional associations”.
The General Director of company “New Cloud” Dmitry KOMISSAROV said: “Our proposals for the support of IT companies are reflected in the joint letter, the two largest industry
organizations ARPP “national software” and NP “RUSSOFT”, sent on 10 April, the Minister for digital development, communications and mass communications of the Russian Federation, One Sadaebu”. In this letter
it is proposed to equate the IT industry to the industries most affected by the epidemic of the coronavirus, and provide a number of measures that will help to survive in this difficult time. In particular:
1. To reset the calculation of taxes and insurance contributions from the salary Fund to the staff remaining in the state IT companies, until the end of 2020. To postpone the payment of Federal and
regional taxes (such as property, income tax, etc.) for 6-9 months with installments over 3 years.
2. Freeze for all IT companies who are already using the benefit of social contributions, the application of the criteria of removal (loss) of preferential taxation for social contributions
(according to the PP. 3 paragraph 1, article 427 of the tax code of the Russian Federation, clause 5, article 427 of the tax code).
3. Charging RMIT and other development institutions to provide results for loan guarantees and interest rate subsidies for developers domestic.
4. To stimulate demand and consumption development of it regulatory way, without reducing the purchase of IT solutions for the needs of the public sector.
5. To arrange the issuance of subsidies to support strategic companies in the field of it according to the principle “for 1 ruble of investment of the company 1 ruble state
means.” Subsidies should be directed mainly to the payment of salaries to the staff of the backbone companies.
Mr. Komissarov said that some of these proposals were included in the report Maksuta Shadaeva the strategic measures to support the IT industry, which will be forwarded to the government.
Alexander EGOROV (Reksoft):”the answer to the question is obvious: to enhance sales to existing and potential customers. In our case, almost all customers confirmed the continuation of the work in a usual mode”.
Alexander EGOROV (Reksoft) says that the set of organizations that fall into the list is restricted, for example, the level of turnover of 1.5 billion rubles per year. In addition, benefits from the inclusion of this
the list is not yet evident. For those who claim to support, will be introduced additional mechanisms of monitoring and reporting that will create an additional burden on business.
In terms of increasing sales, g-n Egorov has noted the importance of remote work without loss of efficiency and demand for products. “The main reason for our stability is that we
support and develop clients mainly created with our participation digital platforms – e-commerce sites, marketplaces etc., which now is the finest hour,” he explains.
The current situation gave a powerful impetus to the use of digital technology in business – all businesses, it became apparent the importance of omnichannel customer service. And for this companies must have
professional digital platform that provides such work.
So that in the future IT market crisis will bring about positive results: more no need to prove that we need to move to digital. G-n Egorov has already noted the growing interest of customers to new
technology, and it is manifested to a qualitatively new level – with a full understanding of the objectives and importance of operational decision-making.
Alexander SEMENOV (“KORUS Consulting”):”irrespective of the hit the company in the list or not, you need to rely on his strength.”
Alexander SEMENOV (“KORUS Consulting”) believes that it is not necessary to rely on the assistance of the state need to mobilize and to develop new useful suggestions tighter
interact with clients to ensure the highest level of professionalism and control costs.
Alexey MELNIKOV (“marvel-Distribution”):”First of all – do not lose heart, but rather to look around: companies that are not included in this list, much more.”
Alexey MELNIKOV (“marvel-Distribution”) is convinced that now is to realize your strengths, to remind partners and to work harder. “I would recommend
work like slaves in the galleys, but this place, unfortunately, already taken. And, of course, it is very important to keep a sense of humor,” he said.
Natalia SOBOLEVA (OCS Distribution):”a Normal company, if the crisis caught her in a moment of dramatic restructuring, or at the startup stage, can survive one to two quarters of losses.”
Natalia SOBOLEVA (OCS Distribution) believes that if the company is financially healthy, but the quarantine measures in the country will continue to be a question of survival all the same stand should not.
Terrible situational losses, and the liquidity crisis: when the company has some solid credits on one side and bad debtors on the other. According to Ms. Soboleva, survival – business and long-term
and the question is not getting into the list of strategic organizations, and in working effectively with the market, with partners, with their own team, the ability to see into the future, the willpower and, of course,
good luck.
Taras FEDOROV (TAD Development):”Many Russian IT-companies are already working in global markets, implementing projects for the United States and Europe. And the Russian market will be reduced, which will push these companies to find new partners and clients abroad.”
CEO TAD Development Taras FEDOROV notes that in the list of strategic IT and telecommunications companies, in addition to industry giants, mainly composed of players with considerable
state-owned and a lot of working with public sector institutions, and their government will support and without a pandemic, and without the list. As for the small players and companies with foreign capital,
they, in opinion g-on Fedorova, it is possible to reduce the demand for it from both public sector and private business in Russia. Those who are accustomed to work with government contracts, will be more difficult for them
will have to refocus and diversify its business.
Sergei SOLOVYOV (“the company”):”Universal recommendation is to sell more, more effectively, using any of the available channels of communication with customers”.
Sergei SOLOVYOV (“the company”) is confident that the injection of public money in business does not guarantee survival – everything depends on the unity of actions of all departments of the company
focused on costs reduction and fast results when working with the market. “Perhaps we can negotiate about splitting large projects into stages with the receipt of payment in parts, is
will help to move away from large cash shortages, hard to overcome the crisis,” he said.
