One of the most impactful musical games of the year and that has garnered the best reviews both on the classic screen and on PlayStation VR, also comes to PC virtual reality from the hand of Oculus and SteamVR.

The premise of Thumper is similar to that of other musical games such as Audiosurf, but it goes much further thanks to a devilish speed and a progressive increase in difficulty as we advance in the game. With a very simple control using a stick and a button, we can perform various actions to avoid obstacles and finish off the final bosses throughout 9 frenetic levels divided into various sublevels that will make us want to play again and again until we achieve the desired Goal that will allow us to reach the top of the leaderboards. But the really peculiar thing about Thumper is the music and its synchronization with the action, something that you really have to try to understand, and the definition of “rhythmic violence” made by its own developers comes as a ring to the finger.

The game is compatible with both motion controllers and gamepad, although it does not use movement to control our silver beetle, but we will move with the touchpad of the Vive controllers or the analog stick of Oculus Touch and we will use an action button. Thumper is available on Steam, Oculus Home and PlayStation Store for €19.99.
