ORIGINAL NEWS (18/09/2018):
Ubisoft has posted a trailer for Escape The Lost Pyramid, a virtual reality experience that is part of the company’s initiative to bring escape room games based on their IPs to theme parks, escape rooms and recreational venues. In this case, as in a real escape room in which players have to get out of a scenario in a time limit, our mission will be to escape from the Nebka pyramid of the game Assassin’s Creed Origins. An adventure for 4 players that they share would be too dangerous or simply impossible to live in real life.
The argument of the experience, which will feature the Animus machine, is as follows:
An expedition led by Sir Beldon Frye disappears somewhere in the Sinai Peninsula. The team was looking for Nebka’s Lost Pyramid or, to be precise, “something” that should have been there. They were never seen again. Using the simulation reconstructed from the memory of your DNA, our team will put themselves in the shoes of the explorers. Find out what happened to the expedition. And most importantly, locate what they were looking for.
Escape The Lost Pyramid is available at locations in the United States, France and Germany. The experience supports Rift and Vive, and each player uses their own room-scale space, meaning they don’t physically play in the same space, making it easy to support multiple arcades with different slots. We can learn more about the requirements on their website.
