The creator of Virtual Desktop has released a small update to the program that adds support for OTOY stereo cubemaps and announces that it will soon be compatible with SteamVR and HTC Vive.
Version 0.9.30 that you can download in your web adds support for environments created with OctaneVR, and its creator has released a pack of scenarios based on the examples available on the web OTOY, pack that you can download in this link and that should be decompressed in the program FilesVirtual DesktopContentEnvironments. Thanks to this compatibility, we will also be able to take advantage of the files generated for the Render the Metaverse contest organized by Oculus and OTOY.
Those interested in creating their own environments should bear in mind that the Virtual Desktop Environment Editor may take a few minutes to generate a stereo cube map.
