WhatsApp is working on a new and very interesting feature that will be extremely useful for people who love to send pictures of everything to their friends.
WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is developing a shortcut for the camera, which will now always be available from the main menu. Basically, the tab was removed and now the function is represented by an icon and is conveniently located above the tabs and next to the search magnifying glass. By clicking, the user can quickly take a picture or record a video and then send the material to contacts of his preference, which speeds up the process.
Apparently this function is linked to the possibility of creating communities, so it is possible that if you don’t have that function activated yet, you won’t see the camera either. Similarly, the camera had already been added in a previous update, but had to be removed due to a bug that showed both the icon and the tab, redundantly.
The new feature is available for Android Beta users with version 2.22.21.5 and, for the first time, for iOS Beta users with version 22.20.0.73.
