Little by little, the enigma that was the expected Game Pass family plan is being solved. Little by little, the news went from being a rumor, to something confirmed, to the leak of its prices, and now the total and complete revelation.
Through the official blog, Xbox revealed that the family plan is called Game Pass Friends & Family and explained absolutely all the details. In this plan, up to 5 accounts can be connected at once, regardless of whether they live under the same roof or not. In addition, each person uses their own Xbox account and profile to save their games, track their achievements and receive personalized recommendations.
An interesting thing is that in the Friends & Family Game Pass, all users can play titles on PC, console or mobile and play separately or connect to the same one to play multiplayer with each other or with others. Although perhaps it was obvious, it was confirmed that all linked accounts can enjoy all the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate, such as the entire catalog of games, online game, EA Play, rewards and exclusive discounts.
The only limitation is that Game Pass Friends & Family can only be shared with people from the same country. At the moment, the plan is still in the testing stage and is available in Colombia, for $49,900 COP; and in Ireland, for € 21.99 EUR. However, it is quite possible that when the tests are over, the service will be launched in other parts of the world, obviously with localized prices.
