Since YouTube launched Shorts, the microvideos section is being a real success. And while its Music section is not doing so well, it is moderately successful. Well, now the company has created a super integration between them, so that passing music from one to another is extremely easy.
It turns out that YouTube added a simple Save to Shorts button. As you know, in each Short there is a small icon in the lower corner, which allows you to explore other videos that have used the same audio track or song. Well, now you will be able to use the new Save button to create a playlist through YouTube (via Tech Crunch).
Thus, if you listened to a song in a Shorts that you really liked, you will be able to save it and it will appear playable and complete in a new audio list called “Shorts Music” that you will be able to view from YouTube and YouTube Music. In the same way, if you listen to an interesting song on YouTube or YouTube Music, you can save it with the button and it will be placed in that list so that later you can use it in Shorts.
Here you can see an example of the new integration, see how the song went from being listened to in a Short to being playable in the automatic list:
This new integration is starting to be distributed little by little all over the world. To find out if you already have it, just look for the Save button in all YouTube apps. And if they don’t show up, just wait a few days or a week, because there’s not much left.
