Kite & Lightning has just published the Oculus Rift DK2 version of its spectacular Senza Peso technology demo, a mini-opera that reveals a world of tormented souls and redemption. It is one of the best demos currently available and one of those that we have used in Real or Virtual to test people who usually suffer from dizziness with great success. Must download.
Those of you who are subscribed to the Kite & Lightning newsletter will have received the download link and you will have been surprised to download a file of only 28 Mb, and its creators have decided to implement a launcher with a registry that will download the bulk of the demo. They have made this decision to make automatic updates and make life easier for users, although everyone can have their own opinion about this type of methods. In any case, the registration process does not take even 1 minute and the demo will be downloaded automatically to our PC.
This has its drawbacks, since we will not be able to choose the destination location and it will be installed in Program Files. We hope that they will implement at least the possibility of choosing it in future versions of their installer, for now it is time to accept this system, but it should not be an impediment to enjoy this magnificent demo.
