Speaking about virtual reality, we, of course, first of all mean a virtual reality helmet. And this is natural, because it is the vr helmet that immerses us in a new world, it is its merit that new worlds open up before our eyes. All this is true, however, do not forget that there are also such gadgets that allow you to fully enjoy virtual reality, which are a kind of addition to the VR helmet. They are called so-additional accessories of virtual reality.
For the most part, they are heterogeneous, and several subspecies can be distinguished in their environment.
Additional sensors. First of all, we are talking aboutLeap Motion. This sensor allows you to track the movements of your hands, fingers, and objects such as fountain pens and pencils. Also, no less popular are virtual gloves, which allow you to control your hands in virtual reality.
Controllers. This subspecies includes joysticks and gamepads. They are designed for full control during the process of immersion in VR. Such controllers are available from the main manufacturers of VR-helmets: Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Sony Playstation VR. Some of these gadgets are already bundled with virtual helmets, and some need to be purchased separately.
Platforms. Some experts refer to them as controllers, but we believe that it is advisable to include them in a separate subgroup, since they provide a completely unique experience of dynamics in the virtual space. More information about them has already been discussed in one of the articles.
For some games, a separate group of gadgets has been created – virtual weapons and vests. These accessories are equipped with special sensors, thanks to which the user gets the most realistic experience from the games and is completely immersed in virtual reality.
