Remember when a few years ago absolutely all social (and non-social) apps tried to include a version of Snapchat/Instagram Stories? Well, the same thing is happening today, but with the TikTok interface. The next brave one to take the test? Amazon.
The Wall Street Journal reported that, according to information from Watchful, an AI product intelligence platform, Amazon is testing a TikTok-like interface. You know, the one with full screen and eternal vertical swipe.
In internal testing, the app’s bottom menu now includes a diamond icon. By clicking on it, the interface changes to full screen. Already in that mode, users can swipe down indefinitely, viewing photos and videos of products, which they can easily Like or share. Obviously, the big hook is that the product can be easily purchased with a click. You can see the screenshots below:

According to Tech Crunch, Amazon has a great performance on TikTok, as its recommendations are very popular. An example of this is the hashtag #amazonfinds, which has 25.6 billion views.
Of course, just because Amazon is popular on TikTok doesn’t necessarily mean the reverse is true. However, it should also not be forgotten that this new interface is just in the internal testing stage, so it will first have to be tested by a larger group of people so that the company collects more feedback and decides if it is worth launching it to the public.
