Easy and free online backup with Bitdefender Safebox
Bitdefender has developed a smart little application called Safebox and it works as an online platform for backup of your data – where Bitdefender Safebox gets really smart is that you can access your online account from your Windows and Macintosh computers, but also via Android and iPhone/iPad.
By default, you can install Bitdefender Safebox on your computer as any regular program. You create an account by registering a username, password and your e-mail address – then you can “drag and drop” all types of data into the Bitdefender Safebox and the data will be uploaded to your online account as a backup.
To sync your data to f. eks your iPhone or Android mobile phone simply install the associated app.
Bitdefender Safebox is a handy tool that makes sure you always have your important data at hand-whether you’re sitting at home in front of the screen or on the go with your iPhone. All data stored via Safebox is stored on Bitdefender’s secure servers, which use one of the industry’s strongest algorithms for encrypting data. In addition, these servers are secured against all types of hacker attacks, so your data is in good hands.
If you f. if you upload a video to your Safebox account, you can choose to share it with your friends or family. As soon as the file is uploaded to the Safebox account, you can create a link to it quite easily, and send it to friends and acquaintances – that way you can easily share your data with others.
Another scenario is that you are sitting in the train on the way home and is working on a document, you can then choose to do on your iPad and add the corrections you have a need, then upload the document to your Safebox account and when you are at home in front of your desktop computer is the document with corrections, synchronized and you can continue working from where you left off.
You get free 2 GB of free space on your Bitdefender Safebox account. If you want to upgrade to even more space, then this is quite a limited investment.
