For a long time, Google has had a Preview /Beta program so that users who like it can try out the new features of their applications before they reach the general public. Interestingly, the Home app (which is used to control smart homes) was not part of that program, although apparently that time ended.
9to5Google decompiled the APK (the executable file) of the most recent version of the Google Home app for Android. While doing this, he analyzed and found several lines of code that revealed that a Beta program of the app is already available, although it has not yet been officially revealed.
Thanks to the analysis, it was discovered that any user who already has the app can request access to the program. To do this, you must click on the following link from your Android device, if you already have the Google Home app installed. The link will open from it and allow you to ask for an invitation.
googlehome://settings/app-preview-program
According to the information, being part of the preview program will allow you to test new functions before they are available to everyone and you will be able to send feedback on them so that they can be changed or improved. Of course, like any program of this style, the new options could have bugs, and if it seems too much, you can leave the Beta as soon as you like.
Unfortunately it is not known how many people Google will accept in this program, but you do not lose anything by requesting an invitation.
