As part of a beta, developers can test new features in GitHub issues. These should provide a better overview. However, users of GitHub Enterprise Server have to wait one to two quarters as usual until the functions are activated there as well.
The tablet and board view provide more overview in complex projects. Both issues and pull requests can now be better filtered, sorted and grouped. Within the issues, in turn, developers can better divide their work and track progress thanks to task lists
Another innovation are so-called issue forms. These offer the maintainers of open source projects in combination with issue templates the possibility to create their own sorting fields within the tabular project overview.
For more information about the new features, GitHub users can visit the “Issues” feature page, where the most important recurring questions are also answered.
