Interact from Facebook with WeChat and vice versa, create your realistic avatar, invite friends to the virtual world and share experiences similar to Facebook Spaces.
Yesterday, during the fourth meeting of the Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance (VRVCA), the company ObEN, of the first of the Vive X acceleration program, showed a social experience which allows users of Live they can relate to those of WeChat, a Tencent instant messaging service, widespread in China. Each user will have a realistic avatar, created through an artificial intelligence process, through which they will interact in the virtual world. To create the avatar we will take a selfie with WeChat and from Vive we will have the option to customize it in a virtual dressing room, with the Oben VR application.

“VR social media offers a tremendous opportunity for mass adoption,” added Alvin Wang, president of HTC Vive in China.
The social experience will allow us to perform actions such as inviting other Vive or WeChat users for group conversations, taking photos within the virtual experience or even making musical duets with the artificial intelligence ObEN musical bot. The company will launch its API throughout this year, available to Viveport developers. The Facebook WeChat app works in a similar way to Facebook Spaces, only in this case the interaction is with the WeChat network.
