The SVVR event held in May had sponsors such as Sixense, Leap Motion, JauntVR and Gear VR, but a couple of days ago it was known that Oculus has also joined, and has done so as a Gold Sponsor.
We’re proud to announce that @oculus is now a Gold sponsor of #SVVR2015 https://t.co/YXoZ7sGPl7

The SVVR 2015 takes place on May 18 and 19 at the San Jose Convention Center, California. Details on the content of the talks and exhibitions have not yet been given, but we hope that they will be made known over the coming weeks. We have been struck by the incorporation of Oculus as a Gold Sponsor at the last minute, which joins Sixense and become the two most prominent sponsors of the event.
The news has sparked all kinds of rumors, given the low public activity of Oculus since the presentation of the Crescent Bay prototype last year at the Connect event. It is clear that Sixense is not going through a good time and that Oculus needs an input system for the Rift, since Valve has Lighthouse for Steam VR, so many wonder if Oculus and Sixense could be associated in some way. Against this possibility is the acquisition of Nimble VR at the end of last year, which gave us to understand that Oculus saw a future in an optical tracking system against the magnetic bet of Sixense. In any case, we think that Sixense could use some kind of agreement with Oculus by the end of May but… what do you guys think?
