The magazine Develop, specialized in the world of video game development, has published its annual list of the 100 best technologies and Oculus Rift DK2 is ranked number 4, preceded by Raspberry Pi, Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 5. Sony’s Project Morpheus is listed at number 18. Google Glass can be found in 15th place.
Also on the list are PlayStation 4 and XBox One, at positions 5 and 7 respectively, and Steam Machines at position 15. We didn’t find WiiU until the 32nd place, the CastAR augmented reality HMD appears in the 38th place. Already near the end we find Avegant Glyph, the hmd with retinal projection, in 77th place, and Gameface, the autonomous wireless HMD based on Android, in 81st place. Mobile phone cases also have their place in the list, represented by Altergaze in 85th place. And with regard to walkers, we have Virtuix Omni in ’67 and Cyberith Virtualizer much further back, in ’93.
