The two gaming consoles; Playstation 4 and Xbox One will most likely dominate the market for the next 6-7 years. They were launched the same day, which makes it interesting to make a comparison of the two types of products. In the following I will highlight the similarities and differences on the two types of game consoles-in order to make it easier to make a decision between the two.
The two consoles ‘ selection of games
First of all, it is interesting to examine which console has the widest game range. Despite the fact that the PS4 had Denmark’s premiere almost a year before Xbox One, this does not mean that the selection here is larger. This is due to the fact that in other countries they premiered largely simultaneously. For both consoles it is true that the game selection is not yet really wide, and it is therefore one’s personal preferences for games that should have the decisive importance. However, the Xbox has a clear leadership position over car racing, as it has the racing simulator Forza, which is a competitor to PS’s Gran Turismo, which has not yet come in a new version for PS4.
When comparing the design of the two game consoles, the PS4 has the most advantages. This is because the Xbox One is a big box that reminds a bit too much of a vhs player. The PS4’s design is more modern as it is a compact and streamlined case with a nice bright stripe on the edge. The PS4 also has the advantage in the design that it can stand both horizontally and vertically, where the Xbox One can stand only horizontally. Furthermore, the Xbox One has a separate power supply that also fills next to the game console. However, this has its other advantages, since this separate power supply reduces the noise level. The PS4 makes more noise than the Xbox One, which can be assumed to be due to the built-in power supply. However, here it is important to point out that it is mainly during games, the noise, where sounds from the game will typically drown out the fan anyway.
Compared to the graphic design in the user surface, there is also a big difference between the two consoles. The PS4 has a very simple design, reminiscent of the old PS3 menu. Unlike This One, Xbox One has a lot of colorful fields that can be compared to Windows 8. Whether the colorful or the simple is best is a matter of taste for the individual buyer.
Different types of controllers
Just as the graphic design differs from each other, so the design is also different on the two types of control units. The PS4 unit has evolved than part since its predecessor, as it has got a number of new features – including the large pointer plate, light on the back and built-in speakers.
The controller of the Xbox One is best suited for larger hands, as it has the two staggered control sticks. In addition, it has vibration trigger buttons for a fatter gaming experience.
The graphics are one of the areas where there is not much difference between PS4 and Xbox One. The two systems are close to each other, and when applied in practice, they seem to be equally good in this area. However, the PS4 on paper stands to be slightly better than the Xbox One, as it on paper has slightly better performance.
The two different consoles are both excellent – both in terms of performance Game selection and ease of use. In fact, they are so close to each other that it is not possible to appoint an outright winner of the console war. After all, it’s all about your personal preferences – and I would advise everyone to try both consoles before making the final decision.
