Berlin At the moment, pushers are increasingly on the move again, posing as telecom employees, for example, and claiming that there are changes to the network that need to be responded to immediately. This is reported by the telecommunications portal “Teltarif.de “.

There is no need for action at the front door

The rule here is: Don’t be caught off guard. Regardless of whether something is actually changed, converted or switched off by chance or not: there is no need for action at the front door. And even if someone is so insistently claimed, otherwise you would never get the chance for fast fiber-optic Internet or similar again. These are fairy tales.

According to the telecommunications experts, no exceptionally cheap or otherwise attractive products would be offered for door-to-door shops. At least nothing that could not be completed at a later date by other means.

You just want the commission

Pushers who like to perform in a duo are interested in brokering new contracts that are as expensive as possible. To do this, you pay as high a commission as possible, regardless of whether the respective tariff meets your personal requirements and needs.

At the front door, you should not disclose any personal data or current contract-related information. And certainly you should not sign anything. Neither with a ballpoint pen on paper, nor with a finger or pen on a tablet. It is better not to rely on assurances that the offer is non-binding.

A contract takes time

Before concluding a contract, you should always read the conditions, the services and the fine print carefully, the experts advise. And that takes time, which you certainly don’t have at the front door.

In addition to black sheep, at least at Deutsche Telekom, there are also sales staff in the field or officially commissioned companies. If you want to know exactly, you can call a free Telekom hotline (0800/ 82 66 347 ) ask if the visitor is authorized at the front door. To do this, you can show the service ID and, above all, give the so-called sales representative number.

There is a way back

If no ID is shown and no or an incorrect employee number is given, the person or persons of the house or property should be expelled and, if necessary, call the police, advises “Teltarif.de “.

Good to know when all the ropes are broken: If you have signed a contract at the front door that he or she does not want afterwards, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days – without giving reasons.
