Broken Window Studios presents the Reflections campaign in Greenlight, a new adventure game in the real world where every action we take has its consequences that radically affect the story. The game will have Oculus Rift support and will be available in April 2015.
At Reflections we are getting ready to leave home and start our life as adults. We have to get things in order to leave at the end of the day. For this we can pack our belongings, engage in conversations or just explore. It all depends on ourselves, because history will be affected by the decisions we make.
To carry out this gameplay, the creators have developed the ‘Storyteller’ engine, which allows everything we do to be part of the story. How you decide to spend your time matters, whether doing something big or small, because in the end the game will take it into account by showing us items used in the past or unlocking new areas to explore. The goal is to make you feel that you are the one who is creating the story.
Virtual reality is something well present in all the developments made by Broken Window Studios, because they are also preparing Grave, a procedural survival horror game that will also have support for Oculus Rift and that will be available this same year. In turn, they are considering using different controllers to achieve greater immersion, such as Sixsense’s Stem.
The title has been developed with Unity 5 and is basically finished, ready for release on Steam next April, once they receive the green light. You can support them on their Greenlight page.
