Intel is a leading supplier of processors for PCs and data centers, but Nvidia and TSMC comes on the heels of Intel.
Intel Ponte Vecchio — the graphics chip for the data center will not be released until the end of 2021 or early 2022. It was designed to compete with Nvidia and now will go on the market not
earlier the first half of 2023.
In recent years, Intel relies on the rapid growth of data centers, since PC sales are falling. The PC market revived only because of the coronavirus, as many had to jump on the remote
work.
According to FactSet, revenue in data centers grew 7.1 billion against estimated of 6.61 billion. Sales of chips for PCs totaled $ 9.5 billion compared to
the analysts 9.10 billion dollars.
