The Stormborn game, which turns us into a wizard, will arrive in November at Vive and Rift, and we can get a copy from € 15.

Stormborn Studio he has launched the Kickstarter campaign for his game Runes: The Forgotten Path, a fantasy adventure in which we become a renegade magician who will have to learn the art of casting spells by creating shapes in the air that we will perform using our hands, in order to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. Our goal will be to remember our lost memories and escape from Oblivion, a prison inside our mind.

The study has published a demo, compatible with Vive and Rift, which allows us to delve into the world of Runes, test the new 4th Wall locomotion system, solve puzzles and test the spell system. The first episode of Runes, The Forgotten Path, will have a duration of more than 5 hours and will be available in November. In addition, there will be a alpha in August, one beta testing in September and early access in October, which we will have access to depending on the pack with which we support the campaign. The title will be compatible with Vive and Rift, and motion controllers.

Runes: The Forgotten Path is designed to be played on a room scale, uses photogrammetry to create immersive scenarios, and has a system to answer yes or no questions, just by shaking our heads. The locomotion system, typical of the game, is based on placing ourselves in the third person to move around the stage and thus avoid any possible symptom of dizziness. The combat scenes or solving puzzles will take place in first person, but if we want we will also have the option of moving in first person.

The minimum price to get a copy of Runes: The Forgotten Path is from 15€, and the campaign aims to raise €30,000. In addition, the team has prepared different extra objectives that will be revealed in case of exceeding the figure to be raised.

Stormborn has a team of five people, including the Spaniards Alejandro Castedo and Álvaro Franco (Sey in Real or Virtual), and we wish them a lot of luck. “Stormborn Studio wants to push virtual reality and help all Spaniards to experience it to the fullest. With this idea in mind all the backers of the game on Kickstarter on the first day are invited to a magical party in Madrid (date to be confirmed) in which they will be able to experience Runes firsthand even if they don’t have an VR viewer yet.”
