With Tinder, Bumble, Grindr and a whole bunch more, the dating app market is pretty crowded. Therefore, the new participants have to get a little more creative. For example, how about an app that matches you with someone based on their meme tastes? This is what Schmooze does.
Basically, instead of swiping to one side or the other based on a person’s photograph, Schmooze shows you a series of memes for you to decide if you like, dislike or love them. Then, using artificial intelligence, the app profiles you according to your type of humor and then matches you with people who it believes have an affinity with you for their type of humor.
The first thing you have to do in this app is create a profile and choose your mood vibe, by selecting what type of meme you like, such as black humor, word games, cute memes, spicy, anime or others. Outside of that, you also have to choose a profile picture, description, likes and other information, as in other dating apps.
Once the recommendations of the people appear to you, Schmooze will show you the percentage of affinity they have, so that you can decide, now, if you want to talk to them or not. Once you gave someone Schmooze (indicating that you liked them), you will have 48 hours to talk to them, or else the chat will disappear.
As it grows, Schmooze will be adding more and more features. For example, in this and the next few weeks it has been adding the possibility of sending memes with your paired people or setting a distance limit for your pairings. In the future, users will also be allowed to upload their own memes to a database, which so far has not been possible because a quality control system needed to be prepared.
