As we approach the summer season, releases are certainly becoming more significant for VR headsets. Well, at least they’re designed for Oculus Quest — most of the major games launching this month are built for a standalone headset, though there are some suggestions for PSVR and PC VR.
New VR Games May 2021
Demeo (May 6) – Quest, PC VR
The board game moves into virtual reality in Demeo, a four-player board game where you have to roll a die, cast spells, and kill monsters. Also pay attention to the monitor version later this year.
The Wizards: Dark Times (May 6) – Quest
Carbon Studio’s fantasy adventure finally touches on Quest. In Wizards, you can cast spells by making gestures with the motion controllers. Throw fireballs, shoot ice arrows, and take part in a linear single-player campaign, which is the first in the franchise.
Zero Caliber: Reloaded (May 13) – Quest
The quest version of the popular virtual reality shooter for PC is almost ready to go. Zero Caliber includes a full single-player campaign and four-player co-op support with weapon settings promising a realistic combat experience.
Puzzle Bobble VR (May 20) – Quest
The classic arcade puzzle game appears for the first time in virtual reality. Puzzle Bobble is the perfect color combination. Arm yourself with a swinging cannon and complete more than 100 puzzles.
Wraith at SteamVR (May 25) – SteamVR
After launching on Rift and Quest last month, Wraith: The Oblivion-Afterlife will appear on SteamVR at the end of May. Go to the Barkley Mansion as an undead ghost and discover the secret of your death, while trying not to shrink.
Solaris (TBA, May) – PSVR
There is no exact date yet, but the PSVR version of Solaris should be released in May. In the new game from the creators of Firewall: Zero Hour, you will find fast arena-style battles, as well as support for the Sony Aim controller.
