Tammeka Games has not given up after the Radial-G Kickstarter campaign, which failed to achieve its goal. Fortunately, they have found investors willing to bet on the game and the development continues. To celebrate, they have made a new updated demo, with fully adapted menus, direct mode and new effects. And soon we will have news about the support for Morpheus on PS4.
The changes of this new demo, which you can download here, are:
- VR Menus: We will no longer suffer with a 2D user interface inside our Oculus Rift before starting the race
- Virtual keyboard compatible with gamepad: No more looking for a keyboard that we can’t see
- Updated to the latest Oculus SDK: There are no more adjustments to be made before launching the game
- Different executables: One for 2D mode, extended and DK1, and another special for DK2 in direct mode
As for the plans for the full game, which could be considered a spiritual successor to Wipeout, it is planned to be released before the end of the year with new environments, new circuits, new ships, different game modes, support for multiplayer with public and private waiting rooms and a wide variety of control options, in addition to 2D, stereoscopic 3D modes and, of course, virtual reality.
It will be possible to pre-purchase the game on Steam Early Access to try out the new features before anyone else. At the moment, they have already achieved approval in Greenlight.
