If there is a movie that talks about virtual reality and takes it beyond all limits, it is, without a doubt, The Matrix. Well, some fans of it have created The Matrix VR, a demo for Oculus Rift that allows us to relive some of the most intense moments: the jumps through the rooftops, Agent Smith’s bullets (you have to use absolute positioning to dodge them) or the helicopter among others.
The demo is not an official product and uses models from the game The Matrix: Path of Neo, and the audio has been extracted directly from the movie, so we are not very clear if it will last long due to copyright issues, or if they will have permission to make it. Its creators claim that they intend to continue adding new scenes and features to it. And speaking of creators, there are some illustrious names who have participated in this demo: Drash, creator of Titans of Space, Jon Dadley, programmer of Star Citizen and Eric Beyhl of Arcane Studios.
