Elon Musk’s tunnel construction company The Boring Company (TBC) is now offering customers to pay for trips with the Las Vegas Transit System using Dogecoin (DOGE).
According to a report by CNBC on Wednesday, the new payment option via BitPay has been available since July 1. A day earlier, the new loop station opened at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Boring Company has not officially confirmed the new payment method, but the founder Elon Musk responded to a comment on Twitter: “Support for Doge wherever possible.”

On the same day, DogeDesigner, a graphic designer from the Dogecoin Foundation, shared a video on Twitter in which he clicks through the booking page of the Vegas Loop and buys a day pass with 37.52 DOGE via BitPay.

The new loop station is located under the integrated resort “Resorts World Las Vegas” and is the fourth stop on the 1.7-mile Las Vegas Convention Center Loop.
The underground tunnel system will allow commuters to travel from one stop to the next using human-controlled Tesla electric vehicles.
This is still a long way from the original plans for the “Hyperloop” in Las Vegas. With the help of a magnetic drive, this is intended to transport passenger capsules at high speed through a tunnel system under pressure.
The company, meanwhile, continues to work on introducing driverless vehicles in its Vegas transportation system.
Elon Musk also supports Dogecoin through other companies he runs.
Last December, the Tesla CEO announced that DOGE would be accepted for certain merchandise items. As a result, the Dogecoin price has increased by 25 percent.
In May 2022, Musk announced that he would also offer the payment option at his space research company SpaceX. However, this had no significant impact on the course.
The Dogecoin price is currently at $0.06851 and has risen by about 1.15 percent in the last 24 hours.
