Virtuix’s Omni walker will have native support for Jaywalkers and Vertigo’s zombie game, and the company has announced its collaboration with HTC as a hardware partner.
Virtuix has announced that the production of the walker Omni it continues at a constant pace and without setbacks, and that in addition to boosting production and shipments, its main focus is now to offer quality native games in which we can move with the native locomotion of Omni. It should be remembered that all international backers who supported the campaign were left without their unit due to logistical problems, similar to what is happening with Kat Walk. Recently, VEC2017 took place, an event where Vive has announced new collaborations to grow the virtual reality ecosystem and one of them is the association of Virtuix as HTC’s hardware partner. Which will allow Virtuix to work more closely with HTC on hardware and content for Omni.
Virtuix has also announced the arrival of native support for new titles such as Arizona Sunshine, Quell 4D and The Belows. The Vertigo Games team, developers of Arizona Sunshine, will integrate the Omni SDK into the zombie game, allowing us to literally walk and explore the environment of the post-apocalyptic world in a seemingly more immersive way. The horror game, The Bellows, already has native support and that of Quell 4D is coming soon. The company has indicated that there will be more games compatible with the Omni SDK.
