The virtual social platform Horizon is still in beta, but creators are already filling it with content, activities and different worlds. To encourage this to continue, Facebook has created a fund of $ 10 million and he has also decided to launch a new name for this social experience that better reflects the diversity of spaces it will contain: Horizon Worlds.

Over the last year, tools have been improving to facilitate anyone who has an idea for a game, experience or social space can incorporate it into this seminal metaverse, the evolution towards the immersive of the social network Facebook. Now, in addition to improving the utilities to create those worlds within Horizon Worlds, it’s going to provide funding.

The way that those 10 million dollars reach the creators will be through contests (with prizes of up to 10 thousand dollars), the creation of an acceleration program (where knowledge will be shared) and direct funding to studios or developers who want to add mini-games to this social platform.

If you are interested in receiving information about when and how the first creator competitions will be held, you must register at this link. To participate in the Creator Accelerator Program you have more information on this page of the Oculus blog. Finally, if you are a developer and want Facebook to fund your contribution to Horizon Worlds you must do so through this form.
