“Altynalmas” implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX
JSC “Joint-stock company “Altynalmas” (hereinafter “Altynalmas”) since 1993 is a producer of refined silver and gold in Kazakhstan. In 2009, the management “Altynalmas” took
the strategic decision to move to a qualitatively new level of enterprise management and to implement an information system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. The previously used software products
consistent with the company’s requirements for functionality and integration. At the beginning of the project, the structure “Altynalmas” were United by the Central office in Almaty and branches in Semipalatinsk, Aqbaqay and
Brent and mine in Taskara. Therefore, the company was required a comprehensive information management system capable of scaling to several geographically distributed sites.

breakdown, the ability to build and integrate the company’s core processes in a single environment.

the tender among consulting companies of Kazakhstan. Preference in the first stage of implementation was given to the Almaty branch of the international consulting group Columbus.
Complex of works executed by the project team integrator during the work at “Altynalmas”, can be divided into the following groups: procurement, payments, fixed assets and reporting. In each of

the project was developed the main forms of primary accounting documents, relevant forms, approved by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Guide “Altynalmas” can track the financial flows of the company in real time. The results of the first phase of implementation of all accounting expenses of the company is conducted in

The project of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 was interrupted for a few months – from mid-March to October 2010 – due to a temporary change of priorities in terms of implementation of projects
“Altynalmas”. During this time, and on the client side and the provider changed the number of key experts of the project team. However, all difficulties were overcome and the new system running
in industrial operation. In April 2011, experts of the Russian division of the Columbus have successfully completed the initial phase of support.
Representatives of the “Altynalmas” note that as a result of the transition to the new ERP system in the company also improved interaction between departments. It is understood the responsibility and role of each

The end of the first phase of the project of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 coincided with the opening of Akbakaiski the gold extraction plant. Currently, the company “Altynalmas” started with the automation of
manufacturing processes.
