From the deal Mozilla will get from 400 to 500 million dollars a year. The agreement was signed a few hours after the dismissal quarter of the Mozilla employees and close office in Taiwan.
Ninety percent of Mozilla’s funding comes from service providers web search. They pay for the right to be search engine default in their regions.
As a non-profit company with an open source code, Safari is spending almost all the money on the staff. In 2018 it staff costs amounted to 286 million U.S. dollars, and
population — about 1000 people, or an average of 286 000 USD per employee.
