Many people will not have the opportunity to contemplate wild animals in their natural habitat, but thanks to this experience they can now go further than a tourist would be able… virtually clear.
Sony present Virry VR, an application that brings us closer to the Kenyan savannah through 360º videos and in which we can perform some interactions such as feeding the lions, throwing a piece of meat to shake our gamepad. The video has been recorded with a camera rig that allows you to capture the action at just 2 centimeters when it is usually from 2 meters, as they say. This allows users to really be in front of the animals and that we experience even a lick from a lion on our face.
Virry VR shows us experiences with animals such as elephants, rhinos, hyenas, lions, leopards and monkeys, and also gives us the possibility to relax contemplating landscapes of Lewa, northern Kenya, where the filming took place over four weeks. The application aims to entertain and in turn educate about the habits and needs of wildlife. The experience is available on the PlayStation Store for €9.99.
